The Canadian dollar closed slightly higher Wednesday, but off its peak, after the market digested retail sales figures for May and waited for a slew of global data in coming sessions to provide direction.
There’s a dearth of any further notable reports in Canada until the end of the month.
The U.S. dollar was at C$1.0729, down from Tuesday’s closing level of C$1.0739, according to data provider CQG. Trading was volatile within a narrow band, ranging from a low of C$1.0710 and a high of C$1.0747. Continue reading
